FAQ

Everything you need to know about vehicle signwriting, signage, smart tags and workwear from Vector Edge — West London’s mobile signwriting service, based in Ruislip, HA4.

Our services

What does Vector Edge do?

We specialise in mobile vinyl signwriting — cut-vinyl business name, phone number and logo lettering for vans, cars and pickups. We also supply and fit window & glass graphics, business signs and displays, custom DTF-printed workwear, stickers and QR/NFC smart tags. We design, produce and fit it all.

Do you do van wraps?

No — we don’t do full or half wraps. We do professional signwriting: crisp cut-vinyl lettering and logos. For most trades it’s the smart choice — cheaper, faster to fit, just as eye-catching, and it removes cleanly when you change vehicles.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

We’re based in Ruislip, HA4, and cover West London and the surrounding areas — Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Harrow, Hayes, Northolt, Ealing, Wembley, Pinner, Southall, Greenford, Eastcote and beyond. Most HA, UB and W postcodes are within our regular area, and we travel further afield on request.

Do you offer mobile fitting — can you come to us?

Yes — that’s our whole approach. We come to your home or premises across West London and fit your signwriting on-site, so your vehicle is off the road for as little time as possible. Local fitting is included; longer journeys are charged by distance and confirmed in your quote.

Vehicle signwriting

How long does signwriting take to fit?

Most vehicle signwriting is fitted in a few hours and is often a same-day job. We’ll confirm timings when you book so you know exactly when your vehicle will be ready.

How long does it last?

Professionally applied premium cut vinyl typically lasts 5–7 years, depending on UV exposure and washing. We use trade-grade vinyl from leading manufacturers for maximum durability.

Will it damage my paintwork?

No. Cut-vinyl signwriting sits on top of sound paintwork and, when removed by a professional, comes away cleanly without damage — ideal for leased and owned vehicles alike.

How much does signwriting cost?

As a guide: business name or contact number lettering from around £45; full van signwriting kits from £99 to £259 depending on vehicle size; logo and website decals from £45. Fleet discounts are available. Get a free, no-obligation quote for your exact requirements.

Can you sign-write a leased van?

Yes — cut vinyl is perfect for leased vehicles because it removes cleanly at the end of the lease, returning the van to its original finish. We’re happy to confirm in writing that it’s professionally removable if your lease company asks.

Signage, workwear & fleet

What signs do you make?

Shopfront and window lettering, frosted privacy film, table & counter signs, schedule and rota boards, A-boards, foam board and aluminium composite signs, plus health & safety signage.

How is your workwear printed?

We print workwear — t-shirts, hoodies, polos and hi-vis — using hard-wearing DTF (direct-to-film) transfers. DTF gives a durable, full-colour finish that matches your vehicle signwriting, so your whole team looks the part.

Can you handle a whole fleet?

Yes. From two vans to twenty-plus, we keep your branding consistent across every vehicle, store your artwork for easy re-orders, and schedule fittings to keep your fleet working.
